We’re super excited to share some of our favorite projects from Noodlehead‘s Anna. (It’s okay—that’s the name of her blog!) She’s a mother of two, a super sewer, and like a lot of us, she learned how to sew from her mother when she was just a girl. Now that she has two daughters of her own, she hopes to inspire them with creative projects. We love her lively style and approachable tutorials, so we rounded up our Noodlehead picks to inspire you!

DIY Sunburst Pillow

Sunburst Pillow
Tutorial available from Very Shannon

We love the elongated shape of this Sunburst pillow. It’d look great on a bench near the door where you keep all your shoes piled up, right? If you don’t have a bench near the door, you just might be inspired to get one for your newly sewn pillow. All you need is a yard of fabric and this easy-to-follow tutorial and you’re set for an afternoon project.

Pieced Heart Pillow

Tutorial available via UCreate

This project will make a great gift for your sweetheart this Valentine’s Day. You get to learn how to insert an invisible zipper and watch a video on sewing curves. So even beginners can tackle this one, knowing that Anna helps you through all the steps.

DIY Travel Toothbrush Case

Tutorial available via Noodlehead

We’re kind of tired of packing our kiddos’ toothbrushes in Ziplock baggies that get wet and gross, which is why we’re loving this travel toothbrush case made from a hand towel!

DIY Back-To-School Binder Pouch

Tutorial available from Sew, Mama, Sew

Another awesome organizational tool is this back-to-school binder pouch. Let your kids pick out their favorite fabrics and make it their own.

Child’s Messenger Bag

Child’s Messenger Bag
Tutorial available via Noodlehead

Every child needs her own bag, stocked and ready for travel, adventure, and fun. The buttons and pintucks inspired by Peter Rabbit make this bag so super sweet we can’t wait to sew one up for all our little ones.

These projects are just a taste of what you’ll find over at Noodlehead. Head over now for even more tutorials, tips and techniques, a pattern shop, and more!
