The Internet certainly has no shortage of creative bloggers out there—some are dedicated exclusively to sewing and some dabble in other creative ventures as well. We love pointing out those who use their skills to bring to life the truly exceptional projects that you’ll want to make and pass along to friends and family. Maker*Land is one such blog. Created by Lainie Wicks, a mother in Australia, it’s chock full of wonderful content. One of our recent favs is this super cute hedgehog pincushion. Who wouldn’t want this little gal in their sewing basket?
All the details are included in the tutorial for how to construct and sew the pieces together. All it takes is 4 pattern pieces and some basic supplies you probably have lying around the house. If you already have enough pincushion options in your kit, then it’s easy enough to enlarge the pattern pieces to make a lovable toy or pillow instead.
Head on over to Maker*Land for the full hedgehog pincushion tutorial. While you’re there, be sure to check out the other amazing tutorials, like the Star-Topped Wand or the Baby Bloomers made from fabric scraps.
